Manhunt 2 was one of the most anticipated titles of the year before it was canceled due to protests surrounding its graphic depictions of violence. The ESRB (Electronic Software Ratings Board) gave the game a rare "MAO"(Mature Audience Only) rating which sealed its fate. Not only will some retailers like Wal-Mart and Target not carry MAO rated titles, all three console manufacturers will not allow MAO rated titles to even appear on their systems.
Now that the game has been "cleaned up" it appears to be ready for an October 31st release date for both the PS2 and Wii consoles. Rockstar has been mum about what content or gameplay elements were cut from the game, so it will be interesting to see just how clean this version will be.
